SUMMARY

Colorful characters, comical dialog, and a few bird puns make this story an enjoyable read for children of all ages. Primarily targeted toward young-adult readers, the book is a fast-paced adventure that makes for a great bedtime story as well.


Growing up as an orphan on the streets of Port Royal Jamaica, Buc always felt a strong connection to the sea and a longing for adventure. A sad twist of fate drives Buc to leave the safety of his island home and attempt to solve a long-standing mystery. Will it lead to the discovery of a lifetime, or has he been sent on a wild goose chase? The story takes an average rooster with a thirst for adventure and tosses him into the world of piracy. His present mixes with his past and he is driven to find answers to who he really is. Fascinated by the folklore and legends of the notorious pirate, Captain Lucky Longfeather, Buc hatches a plan. Together with his First Mate, Mister Ayg, and his burly quartermaster Chumlee. Buc sets out to find a crew to undertake a quest to solve a long-standing mystery of the Caribbean.
