ABOUT
I spent the early part of my career as a morning news anchor in Little Rock, AR. I loved telling stories and getting to know the people whose stories I told. That love led me to the second phase of my career as the Director of Public Relations for a non-profit that helps people with disabilities. It was there that I learned the importance of audiobooks for both education and entertainment for the disabled. I also learned that I loved listening to audiobooks myself.
After my three children were in school, I decided I wanted to pick up an old interest from my broadcasting days and do voice over work. I adapted to the changing industry by creating my own recording studio and learning to record and edit my own work. I built a sound treated booth in my home and use professional recording equipment including a Rode mic, a Focusrite interface, and Adobe Audition.
I’ve been doing voice over work and narrating audiobooks for about 4 years. I’ve been added to the talent rosters of a few great production companies. My experience has been mainly in romance and non-fiction. I would love to do mysteries and thrillers because that is my favorite genre when I read for my own relaxation.
When I’m not reading you’ll find me on the tennis court, playing Mahjong, walking my standard poodle, or on the bleachers watching my kids play sports.
