NARRATOR AGREEMENT

By submitting an audition and/or accepting a project, Narrator agrees to the following terms. This Agreement is entered into between e-Audio Productions ("Producer") and the applicant narrator ("Narrator") for audiobook narration services.

1. Work Made for Hire / Rights

All recordings created under this Agreement are considered work made for hire under U.S. copyright law. All rights, title, and ownership of the recordings belong exclusively to Producer’s clients. Narrator retains no ownership or copyright in the recordings.

2. File Type & Technical Requirements

Unless otherwise specified, Narrator agrees to deliver:

  • Unprocessed WAV files

  • 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz

  • 16-bit or 24-bit

  • Clean punch-and-roll recordings

  • Professional audio quality with no clipping, distortion, or excessive noise

  • Producer reserves the right to request corrections or reject unusable audio.

3. Delivery Time

Narrator agrees to deliver recordings according to the timeline stated in the audition, project listing, or as otherwise agreed upon in writing (including email or platform messages). Timely delivery is a material condition of this Agreement. Failure to meet deadlines without reasonable communication may result in:

  • Removal from the project

  • Non-payment for incomplete work

  • Loss of future opportunities with Producer

4. Compensation

Narrator will be compensated at a rate of $150 per finished hour (PFH) after delivery and acceptance of all completed audio files. Payments are typically processed within three to four weeks after project completion.

5. Credits

Narrator will receive narrator credit in the audiobook’s opening and closing credits and wherever narrator credit is customarily displayed by distributors.

6. Independent Contractor

Narrator is an independent contractor and is responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and recording environment

7. Non-Circumvention

Narrator agrees that any authors, publishers, or clients introduced through e-Audio Productions are the exclusive clients of Producer. Narrator shall not directly solicit, contract with, or accept work from such clients for the same or related projects outside of Producer without prior written consent. This obligation survives completion of the project and termination of this Agreement.

8. Auditions and Selection

Submission of an audition does not guarantee selection or assignment to any project. Narrator acknowledges and agrees that auditions are shared with our Publisher clients for review and final narrator selection by their author.
