Christian Faith based Novel

Female

Accents:

English African American or African American mixed race. California accent but not valley and not ghetto

Voice tone:

A tone in between deep and soft. A strong yet feminine educated and cool tone. A distinct characters voice

Performance:

The main character is narrating the story in first person. The narrator for my book needs to be captivating and engaging. She needs to be calm at some points and clear. She also needs to be able to switch from one mode to the next subtly. The character Mercedes is a bit complex that needs to be conveyed. The narrators voice should fit the overall mood and purpose of the story line. This narrator should be able to have the ability to show a wide range of emotions authentically. They should be able to help the lister connect to Mercedes. The narrator needs to be clear, articulate and well paced. It is okay for them to bring drama and seriousness to the read.

SUMMARY

In this emotional faith-based novel, Mercedes Young is guarded, and no one really knows the true Mercedes. Buried hurt and anger are holding her back from living a full life. Now she has arrived at a critical crossroads, forced to confront and deal with issues from her past that are affecting her in a negative way, and then to make a choice. Her decision will change her life forever. But she is conflicted. On one hand, she can move forward keeping her life just as it is, with money and a great career...but no peace within. Or she can choose an inner faith that defies all logic and understanding and lose everything. Is that really an option? She must face her past to fully heal, but does she really want to dig all that up just to find peace? Carrying so much hurt and pain, her decision seems impossible.

NOTES

Match the tone and mood of the content. Engage and resonate with the target audience. Really tell the story as if they are Mercedes. Be clear in their delivery,
