ABOUT

Candace Joice is your voice for characters at a crossroads of identity. In literary fiction, romcom, thriller, and beyond, she specializes in stories about flawed, searching, underdog people chasing after their truth.

Candace is an award-winning narrator (SOVAS 2026) and Henry-nominated actor known for playing diverse characters ranging from Jane Austen’s Elizabeth Bennett to rocker Eddie Van Halen. When she steps into the booth, she brings skills honed by a Master’s degree in theatre and 20+ years of acting and directing for the stage - not to mention the trial-and-error experiment we call being human.

She excels with literary fiction, thrillers, and romcoms, stories where characters grapple with identity and duality, perhaps because she so deeply connects with the challenge of truly finding yourself. As the first person in her family to go to college, she felt a keen expectation to land in a career that would be of service. For many years, this meant juggling an acting career with work in education and non-profit sectors, especially in child advocacy. Yet, she knew she was meant to be an actor, and after years straddling both worlds, embraced her core identity as a storyteller.

Now, her days are filled with story, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
