ABOUT
I'm a professionally trained narrator and actor, and university professor specializing in storytelling and communication. I was trained at the University of Virginia, and have spend the past decade teaching at Regis University. I started my own company, VeraVox, LLC, a few years ago to focus full-time on storytelling and narration. I'll repeat here what I tell my students - storytelling demands authenticity; you don't need to live the story you're telling, but you have to believe in it to effectively give it voice.
My passion and full-time profession is bringing voice to an authors printed words. But of course that requires the right equipment and skill.
To provide that, I've worked with some of the best audio engineers and have invested in high-quality recording and processing equipment. I narrate audiobooks from my professional home studio in Denver, Colorado. The studio is fully sound treated and designed for neutral sound balance (-65db noise floor). I test prior to each recording.
My primary equipment includes: Rode NT1 5th Gen Condenser Mic with ProCo Quad XLR cables, Volt 276 Audio Interface, Behringer Xenyx X1003B Analog Mixer, JBL 7Series 5" Monitors, and DT770 Pro Headphones, all running through a Power-1 Power Conditioner to reduce electronic noise and interference. And my processing/hardware equipment includes: Hindenburg-2 Narrator DAW and Pozotron production software running on MacBook Pro with M2 processor.
You've put your heart into writing your book. I believe in honoring that by bringing the same level of professionalism and enthusiasm to narrating it. I look forward to to working with you!
