ABOUT
Courtney Fabrizio jams out as the kid or sidekick most days. She's performed roles like Peter Pan, Junie B Jones, both evil stepsisters and even a fire hydrant named Squirt. She is passionate about working on ensemble productions and currently appears on two children’s podcasts Detective Dexter and the daily podcast Wordini’s Word of the Day. Courtney's bright and spunky voice lends itself perfectly to middle grade or younger high school characters; boys and girls alike! She is also well-versed in non-fiction for kids and teens, currently working alongside Learning Ally and having recorded McGraw Hill textbooks and TIME for Kids magazine.
Courtney prides herself on being a member of Actor’s Equity and receiving theater training from AMDA (American Music and Dramatic Academy): NYC campus. As a musical theater actor she is a trained singer and perfectly primed for comedic timing in her audiobook narrations.
Courtney grew up in New England, Rhode Island, more specifically- in a *My Cousin Vinny* style Italian American family. She can definitely whip out some Brooklyn and some Italian Rhode Island accents to create a whole macaroni dinner of characters.
Life experience as a doula and part of the sandwich generation (caring for an elderly parent along with three kids of her own), give her depth, understanding and empathy. She strives to bring honesty and believability to young and older characters alike, as well as the right amount of absurdity to voice more outrageous characters. Also, having experienced terrific loss in her own life, she have a special spot in her heart for grief and the grieving, especially young people.
