She has always been an avid reader, easily disappearing into whatever adventure she is currently reading. As a child, she was the kind of reader who could disappear so completely into a book that the world around her seemed to melt away—so much so that one summer day, after reading about a blizzard in a Laura Ingalls Wilder novel, she actually bundled up in a snowsuit before realizing it was July.

Recently, she has discovered the art of narration—a fulfilling endeavor that allows her to combine her love for reading with the creative challenge of voice acting. She strives to convey the essence of each story with authenticity and enthusiasm.

When Jess is not narrating or lost in a current novel, she is either enjoying the beautiful Colorado scenery and weather with her dog by day or employing her superpowers as an Emergency Veterinary Technician (animal nurse) by night.
