Hello, I'm an experienced voice actor and audiobook narrator from NC. I've done several books for ACX, Audible, and am on talent rosters ranging from Deyan Audio, Brilliance, Scribe Media, and W.F. Howes. I've also had the privilege of working with some Amazon Best-Selling Authors directly as well. My home studio set up produces high quality audio. I record using the Rode NT1 5th Generation mic and a Focusrite Scarlette Solo interface. I use the Behyerdynamics DT 770 headphones for monitoring and editing my punch and roll files, as well as mastering. My "padded room" consists of a fully acoustically treated area with various panels and thicknesses ranging from 1 inch to 6 inches thick. The panels are made with acoustically tested sound damping foam for various frequency ranges. There are also bass traps, as well as, 2 - 8 inch clouds that hang above.
