ABOUT

Deborah has a mature, resonant, captivating alto voice, and she's not afraid to use it! Her mesmerizing vocal timbre and narration style has been termed "very easy to listen to."

An actor first and always, she brings that discipline to her audiobooks. She's a true storyteller ... she imbues each character with the emotion of each scene, and 'lives' her characters' experiences. At present, she's produced 10 audiobooks, and is working on number 11 - a WWII historical novel, beautifully written, that she's utterly besotted with.

Deborah is also active in audio drama, and is in the cast of several audio podcasts currently under production. She adores character animation - she has studied under Lori Alan, an actress and coach who is the voice of Pearl Krabbs in 'Spongebob Squarepants.' She believes her animation talents amplify her book narration skills - and vice versa.

Deborah holds a B.A. in Speech and Drama from West Virginia State University, and years ago (we won't say how many) she was very active in community theatre and light opera. After spending 35+ years in the corporate world as a CPA at a boutique Washington, DC firm, she brings both corporate discipline and years of public speaking experience to a reincarnation of her original first love - acting.

Deborah resides in sunny Florida, where she doesn't get to the beach nearly often enough.
