Many times authors and publishers prefer an audition casting instead of spending time going through our list of narrators to find a voice they may like. This saves them time.

We post those auditions here.

SUMMARY

El Señor is a powerful journey through faith, heritage, and memory, spanning centuries of the Rivas family legacy in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico. Guided by a mysterious crucifix known as El Señor de la Ascensión, Ronald Edward Rivas Lucero retraces the footsteps of his ancestors, uncovering hidden truths behind family legends, colonial records, and the 1973 Spanish letter written by his grandfather, Lorenzo Rivas Velásquez.

Blending historical research, oral tradition, and personal reflection, El Señor reveals how one sacred object became the spiritual heart of a family and a community. As Ronald pieces together the lives of those who came before him, from José Ignacio Rivas in the 18th century to his own generation today, he unearths the resilience of the Otomí people, the trials of the Mexican wars, and the endurance of faith across generations.

Part memoir, part historical investigation, El Señor is both a search for truth and a testament to the power of ancestry, devotion, and remembrance.

NOTES

The voice should feel like a bridge between the sacred and the ancestral, guiding the listener.
