Many times authors and publishers prefer an audition casting instead of spending time going through our list of narrators to find a voice they may like. This saves them time.

We post those auditions here.

SUMMARY

Sharp, searching poems that find the extraordinary hiding in everyday life.

You've felt it, that restless sense that beneath the ordinary rhythms of modern existence, something deeper is stirring. The squeaky cart rolling down a sweltering hospital ward at midnight. The quiet majesty of Gregorian chant echoing off monastery walls. The absurd tragedy of New Jersey's mountains disappearing beneath parking lots. You've glimpsed these moments, but they slipped away before you could name them.

The Book captures what you couldn't hold still. Across twenty-eight vivid poems, The author moves from the harrowing intensity of an Army hospital ward to the contemplative hush of medieval music, from the inner turmoil of nightmares and mental illness to wry observations on bodybuilders, marketing, and the peculiar devotion of cat rescuers. These poems are by turns tender, biting, and darkly funny and grounded in personal experience yet reaching toward universal truths about pain, resilience, and the way history quietly reshapes the human body and soul.

Inside these pages, you'll discover:

• Unflinching reflections on military life, loss, and the strange mercy of sleepless nights

• Meditations on music, faith, and the enduring power of the quietest forms of prayer

• Sharp-witted commentary on modern absurdities, from fake meat to flat earthers to the politics of landscape preservation

For readers who believe poetry should illuminate the world as it actually is messy, startling, and worth paying attention to.
