SUMMARY
As the hotel launches an addition to its overnight amenities on a neighboring property, Delia Sanchez MacBride, the Loring’s principal owner and hospitality manager, is haunted by premonitions of disaster. Delia’s worst fears begin to materialize when the hotel’s most macabre secret is literally unearthed, namely when the bodily remains of The Forgotten Fifty, a group of townspeople who vanished without a trace a century ago, are revealed as being buried in the Loring’s basement.
Not only that but the picketing descendants of the Forgotten Fifty accuse the Loring of enslaving their ancestors in order to use their spectral energy as entertainment for hotel guests! Disasters multiply as Delia’s husband, Gabe, can do little to help her. Not when he has his own hands full managing the hotel’s gourmet restaurant amid escalating labor disputes. Delia must rely on her own strengths, not only in tackling the PR nightmare of the buried bones, but also in dealing with the unexpected return of a rebellious teenager from her past, obnoxious ghosts, annoying siblings and, oh yes, a series of chilling murders.
